Oh I’m well aware of these reports. I could quote large parts of them back when they came out and I was helping the senator I worked for then oppose oil & gas exports. My previous reply was just factual, not an endorsement of exports.

It was the oil ban that was lifted in 2015. The natural gas act had always allowed for exports if DOE signed off on them. We just didn’t have the infrastructure or the excess to export much until the last decade.
