My Artemis wouldn’t type on my laptop, but if she thought I’d been ignoring her for too long, she’d bring her tribble over and drop it on the keyboard. I’d remove it, she’d get it and put it back, and soon we had a game of fetch going… and I wasn’t ignoring her any longer.

Damned clever cat. RIP.

Caleb is young Sheldon. He's smart and knows it, so he doesn’t think he needs to listen, thinks he can contradict and bargain with officers, and he’s being allowed to get away with it. He shouldn’t be. A few “sit down and shut ups” would help.

Books can also change based on your age at each reading. I first read one of my favorites when I was the age of one daughter in the story. I reread it at the age of the mother. Now I’m the age of an older woman. The story had a different feel each time.
