I also choked a PB in Main Story (normal category) on the final boss, which would have beat my PB from 3 years ago by 10-15 seconds. Hopefully I can get similar or better pace with better boss luck and execution

Double feature tonight: Streets of Rogue Any% Duos with Normal characters and Custom characters.

Our 4p Normal run is faster, but this beats the former 2p WR, and our 3p PB funnily enough.

The Custom run is just a faster run in the same vein as before.

Livesplit window: Streets of Rogue Any% Co-op (Custom) in 7:46

Streets of Rogue: Any% Duos with custom characters. Very fast paced run; the loadout is a more convenient version of vanilla characters. Instead of Robot for support, I suggested a Demolitionist build, since it's a bit more efficient for stat points and you don't have to worry about ammo.

I've been quiet the past two weeks while trying to get to emerald rank in MCSR Ranked. I didn't quite get there (at peak elo I needed ~4 more wins but then I lost my last couple games before the server closed). Now that the season is over I think I'll queue less often and practice/learn more often.

okay so speaking of that hardcore run, I said it was unverifiable since it used mods that weren't legal for speedrunning (betterf3, gamma utils, and non-speedrunning build of sodium), but I forgot that I also did quake xray in that run lawl. I thiiink I knew this wasn't legal on the src board? idk

this puts me roughly in 3,400th place. that sounds like a high number, and it is, but considering that there's 5713 other unique runners on the board as of this writing I will take it lol

oh yeah I did a session of minecraft 1.16 any% rsg and got a sub 30. definitely beats my (unverifiable) 1.21.0 hardcore run of 1:01:48 from last year. the speedgame is so hard

^ this is not me dunking on atlyss' updates btw; they've been great for casual play and I respect the the dev's autonomy and vision of the overarching product it will be. Balance updates needn't consider speedrunners

Also, apparently My Card is getting an update next week so that's cool :3

this game is in early access, so the atlyss treatment could happen where future balancing and content expansion could just make the run slower. at least I'm not a mod so I don't really have to worry about anything if that happens

probably my last run until someone beats my times. but this one is going to be very hard to beat I think. I tried a different starting deck that promises faster crafting splits, at the cost of having an even more reset heavy early game.

I swept the other two difficulties, and now have a sub 30 WR in all 3 :3

Difficulty boosts how many points you need to win battles, as well as your opponents' materials and strategy. Hard mode is quite challenging unless you craft strong cards early.

I got WR! I saved tons of time by crafting a slightly stronger card, one-turning every battle after a point where last run I couldn't always. The run wasn't flawless, and I think a couple more minutes could reasonably be saved with similar or better RNG.

This run is only +3s from the current world record, but with luckier pickups it could go even lower.

a family member is generously gifting me new parts for a legit pc setup, supposedly arriving in a week-ish. so while I temporarily don't have access to any windows stuff, the next chapter will bring me more processing power for more opportunities (surely)

lil update, my bootcamped macbook laptop that I've been using since 2021 has finally succumbed to a teeny corruption on the internal drive, causing my windows installation to stop booting. after backing up important files, I tried repair options in the mac environment, to no avail
