A personal highlight from saturday was 'author meets critic' - featuring Sarah-Jane Page, Tracy McEwan, Rosie Shorter, and Sharron Jagger. It was a section that was packed with resource signposting from start to finish - including works from the authors themselves. What amazing inspirational women!

I really enjoyed presenting at @bsasocrel.bsky.social on Monday. Finally home from a wonderful conference. A highlight was catching meals with legends Grace Davie and Eileen Barker. To be surrounded by so many great minds, both established in the field and emerging.

Fascinating paper at #SocRel from @lindyreylovett.bsky.social on personal narrative as potential stumbling block in scholarly research on a given community. Not exclusive to study of religion, but I would argue (as Lovett does) that it is common & heightened. Smthg to do with truth claims, I think.

I shall be there! Although, I am not sure for how long. It is just before I have 2 kids moving into new uni accommodations. So I will be literally on a flying visit!
