BBC Radio 4 - Prayer for the Day, When macaroni cheese changes lives
A spiritual comment and prayer to start the day with the Reverend Canon Grace Thomas.
Today's prayer for the day was probably my favourite to write, featuring my 'life changing' macaroni cheese. Text is in the link if you'd rather read than listen!!

What a gift it was this morning to worship in this beautiful church in Pwlheli
The vicar and the congregation were so welcoming and, as a bonus, we joined in with the prayers of thanks for the new Archbishop of Wales

BBC Radio 4 - Prayer for the Day, The wonder of Wonderland
A spiritual comment and prayer to start the day with the Reverend Canon Grace Thomas.
Today I begin a week of short prayer reflections on Radio 4. They will be aired at around 5.40am, but you can tune in later via BBC Sounds
From Alice in Wonderland to rivers, to the joy of homemade macaroni cheese, it's fair to say my reflections are broad in theme!

As I contemplate a sermon about prayer, I'm reminded of Mother Mary Clare, Reverend Mother of the Sisters of the Love of God in Oxford
She advised that the nuns were struggling to find words to pray, they could simply say
'Here I am God, what a mess'
I've used that advice a lot over the years

Photo of man at a keyboard with the lyrics 'shine on me, shine on me'
Today I officiated at a wedding where Shine Jesus Shine was the last hymn
It was utterly joyous
Sung with such gusto by everyone, with huge grins on their faces
And this is why I simply won't allow any shade to be thrown in its direction

Black and white image of Eunice Foote
Ever heard of Eunice Foote, born today in 1819?
An incredible woman -scientist, inventor, & women's rights campaigner
Significantly, Foote was the first to show that rising CO2 levels could increase atmospheric temperature and affect climate, although rarely credited for this discovery

Table at the entrance of the Village church. Orders of service on top of a large progress flag
Sometimes you go somewhere where the presence of the Holy Spirit is just so abundant. This afternoon I had the honour of preaching and presiding at The Village Church, and it was such a beautiful place to be. A church where all were absolutely welcome & where all could feel safe
