I love this show, it's charming, it's funny, and it subverts all the tropes in the best way!

Plus, the production value is also incredible! It totally reminds me of a slice of life anime in the best ways.

If I could give any advice to new podcasters, it's that you absolutely should not get into making audio dramas for money/massive success.

You might make a little money, sure. And you might have fantastic weeks followed by slow weeks in terms of downloads.

But the one thing you NEED is passion.

Warlock: A D&D Audio Drama About Warlock

I don't know that I've listened to an AD this over the top and sincere at the same time, and I mean that as a compliment. If that sounds interesting, check it out! At the very least, check it out to hear them pull off the anime sweat drop effect without visuals. It's uncanny!

I'm only one season in but I'm very excited to see what Nova and the rest of Class Red get up to--and looking forward to cheering them on in the tournament arc I assume is coming because something can't be *this* anime without a tournament arc, right?

Warlock is heavily inspired by two things--D&D and anime and oh boy if you're a fan of both, you're gonna love this show. I had no idea how they were going to pull off "anime" in an audio format but it's super baked in from the pacing to the sound effects to the characters' speech patterns.

This is the kind of production that does something I really admire. It picks a lane HARD. It picks a very specific thing to be and does it up to 11 with zero concessions. You will know *very quickly* if this one is for you.

This #audiodramasunday, I'm recommending a show I *finally* got a chance to sit down and listen to recently: @warlockdnd.bsky.social! Warlock follows the story of Nova--the first warlock in a world of sorcerers.

When I'm not writing non-adventures for ANA, I'm usually writing adventures for something else and sometimes those adventures get nominated for awards! I hope some of y'all have a chance to check out Sweet Revenge and look out for it when voting opens on July 11th!
