Oof, I felt this. Peopling is hard! Even when it's pleasant there can still be brain work involved: focusing on our facial expression, attentive listening, not interrupting, etc. I find that the more stressed I am in general, the longer the recovery too.

The morning of the election my company announced our entire dept will be eliminated by the end of the year. Then the day got worse.
