our fall has barely started. we don't have much in the way of leaves on the ground yet, only acorns.

my husband insisted we buy Brother, as he didn't want any of the other big name brands for various reasons, and the printer we bought has been good to us.

but this still brought a tear to my eye for the beauty of it.

we don't normally get a true fall in October, but it's not been above 80F in a while and it'll be below 60F all day Wednesday.

I think we're actually getting fall before November for once.

and I dunno, I guess I just wanna say, make sure you're surrounding yourself with the right people. if someone makes you feel bad/anxious every time you're around them, and you feel like you're walking on eggshells all the time,

I cut a friend out of my life yesterday, for betraying my trust & hurting me, on purpose, probably to spare his ego.
I grieved for a day, then felt a weight lifted off my shoulders today. I realize now just how much I had been tiptoeing around him, just how much anxiety I had in his presence.

it's the same intent the benches that have a gap in the middle for a wheelchair. it's hostility under the guise of accessibilty.

and yes, that is hostile architecture. I've sat in benches like that before, hips wind up getting uncomfortably lodged in the holes in those armrests. they suck, they don't do anyone any favors.

benches didn't used to have armrests, until someone decided the homeless using them was a problem.

universal income or at least living wage for minimum wage
affordable housing
greater protections for workers
better healthcare - many homeless are due to healthcare bills!
there are more options.

Accessibility is not optional or “would be nice.”

Accessibility is absolutely necessary.
