6 months is relatively recent; most vtubers don't disavow 6 month-old clips.
it's mostly a problem when people still clip things that happened around that vtuber's debut and still share these moments around years later, while the featured vtuber explicitly says that it's a thing of the past.

like, i'm sorry if you end up realizing that your favorite vtuber doesn't pander to you anymore, that what drew you in isn't there anymore in their content, that they don't do ship teasing the way they would when they debuted, but that's truly the most common corpo vtuber experience out there 🤷‍♀️

esp when you know that corpo vtubers tend to rp the most when they debut, and then they get more natural the more comfortable they get as they find their footing in their new corpo environment.
it's a given that most early clips are going to be cringe and not representative of that vtuber.
