(yeah and I'm rambling.. I was working towards being a better writter, but if I try I will get plugged in again. I think I will pick up a creative writing course rather than "writing" for the algorithm

I mean I won't delete my BSKY because I have cool ppl on my feed, and I still like to keep up with UFOs. Maybe one day I can find balance and just not stay away from the internet so hard, but for now this is what works for me. After seeing the effects I'd rather err on the side of caution

I highly recommend seeing life in the "universe is sending me signals" lens--even if you think it's BS. You start to forget whatever garbage is being pushed towards you (even if it's well-intentioned) and you start seeing life through the lens of your OWN EXPERIENCES.

But yeah man, I'm realizing the internet and social media are way worse than I thought. They are subtle, insidious, disempowering, and overall make you feel like a datapoint, like you need to see life in the narratives pushed towards you rather than being the protagonist of your own life.

Guys, you have no idea what it's like to plug out of the news, the internet, the debates, the hierarchies, for a while, and just face yourself. It creates an aura, and ppl pick up on and react to it. It's kind of crazy actually. Sometimes I go out just to laugh at it (and enjoy the attention a bit)

Yeah, I really feel bad for Ukraine. I usually stay out of the news cycle, but I had to check on this, and it was way worse than I expected. Also, the guy who asked about the suit deserved a punch in the face—Zelensky handled that question well

Yeah. But what I mean is that I empathize—he's carrying something unimaginably heavier. But he fumbled; he took it personally with Vance when he should have subtly ignored him while addressing the boss directly—a double power move. Also, he should have kept his responses shorter and to the point

I don't ignore the maliciousness of the Trump team, but I think Zelensky was profoundly amateurish today. I've dealt with similar psychological warfare and came out way better than him. I know it's NOTHING compared to the HIGH-STAKES, but I tbh I wasn't impressed (I did feel it for him though)

Spending too much time reading news or being online creates a sense of defeatism and helplessness.
Stop wasting your precious life being outraged over things beyond your control and just GO OUT

I have been absent from poasting because I fell in love. I can't believe it, but life is actually going pretty well. It's been a while since I didn't feel like that.

Haha a change of environment can def cause that, but I didn't move, and I live in Northern Europe (they are not as unfriendly as their reputation suggests, but they are def "colder" than Southern European cultures when it comes to interactions with strangers)

Since most of the replies seem to not fully understand it, I'll share my two cents: being "based" means staying authentic and unapologetic about it in a subtly badass way (often by rejecting some sort of societal norm).
