yeah I've been in fandom since 1998 (the math is that I was way too young lmao). it very much feels like an older group. so interesting. I very much want a fandom wide survey about age and sexual orientation and shipping preferences and how long you've been in fandom and other ships/fandoms

yeah it's just, look, we got half of what we wanted! buck is queer and he was dating a man! and they convinced themselves it was good, invented tommy into a character in fandom that doesn't exist on screen (that's why they like him), and that's where they live. like I really get and understand that.
