expecting them to do in their pod? The whole point is that Tripp Houser didn't equip them with anything should shit go wrong, & it did. Plus, as Karen pointed out when they got control & were "docking" at the ISS, it would take ~40 minutes to do so. You try sitting & doing nothing for that long.
