The awesome part is that the later openings/endings of the anime even reference it (Kuusou Rumba rap has INSANE SPOILER LYRICS) and it starts showing many body parts/blood/organs to reference the transplants! I could give more spoilers but I recommend reading it :3

That’s fine! It actually lasted like 4 years… the ending is awesome! But many say there are 2+ endings because the last chapter is labeled as 300.1 or 301 and is called “as one possibility”, so many say it’s not canon (but 300 is seen as definitely canon). I recommend finishing it!

They’re all canonically dead, and while it’s still weird because they were shown as high schoolers the entire series, the romance is pretty much a distraction to hide the fact that he just wants to stay with the girl who died to save them (episode 300). I read the series recently and I hyperfixated

And there was an extra chapter which many (including me) say is a possible alternate ending where he “marries” them in death to stay with his lover, who died (the organ donor), but considering the name of the chapter and the fact it’s an extra chapter, many say it’s not canon

None of the girls actually liked him, and he didn’t like him either. It was just because of organ memories of an organ transplant they all received. They all chase him in wedding dresses at the end so that he enters a “church” on a cliff (many said it was really a suicide) where he finds his love

Oh, it was actually because of the ending! They cut out the male characters because: (SPOILER) it was shown it was not a real school, rather, it was a sort of religious/exorcism school, and the boys were there so they could pretend it was a real school. The romance was sort of a metaphor (1/2)

Oh yeah! Sorry for assuming! But it’s really a shame how much the studio relied on the lolibait to attract an audience… I believe if they had actually stuck to the “gag anime with ACTUAL LORE AND PSYCH REFERENCES” that the manga conveyed, it’d be more well received :(

becomes a story manga instead of an episodic one, so I’d recommend reading the manga instead of watching the anime (even if the openings are really good)

The manga has a lot less fanservice… I know it sounds stupid but the entire 300 chapters together have slightly less fanservice than one season of the anime :( it really makes people think the series is just about that, but further in the series the fanservice revolves around Nozomu and actually 1/2
