I’m struggling with that too. Family, my social connections for work and additional learning, and travel groups.

You’ll love the stress release that this action provides. And honestly, even if you simply put in your basic assignments into each unit (and estimate the number of days), you’ll have enough for a first attempt.

I create my year plan in the summer so that every short break is my own. Even if I get off pace by a week or two, I can still see what I’m teaching next. I photocopy for the first two weeks before I’m done teaching the last week before break.

Today I belly-laughed when I had a gr 7 student explain to his peers about diplomacy. “It’s like when the teacher tells you nicely, for the fourth time, to focus and get back to work, instead of saying Shut Up, you’re driving me nuts!” He nailed it! lol #edusky

We’ve had a pretty intense snowstorm here in Saskatchewan. This is only the third time in my career that work has closed the school!

And it’s happening in parts of Canada too, unfortunately. Saskatchewan teachers are fighting to address class size, complexity, and chronic under funding in their province right now.
