I watched so many movies last year. Then this year started too busy at work so I did a lot of rewatching and series instead. Then I saw SINNERS this week and now I'm in a mood for more film excellence in craft, so I'm catching up on some big flicks I hadn't caught yet. Feels good.

A big adulting win on my birthday this was my car changing/increasing the estimated miles that a full tank would last from 375 to 382. The way my old car went thru gas like a machine to now I regularly use less than a gallon to get to work is HUGE.

I feel like people should know that while my Sabrina Carpenter Short N' Sweet vinyl was being delivered today I could clearly hear the driver blasting Chappel Roan's Pink Pony Club in their truck.

Sometimes, at the end of a long week, a night spent like this is just nice.

I sat waiting for Magnus to be okay with coming to visit with me. She's been a bit distant all day, I think she knew Percy was leaving. Just when I was getting ready to go shower and crash, she finally came to cuddle on my lap. More than the usual cat-on-lap rules, I need to stay a while for her.

He's gone. I sat with him and videocalled in his mom for his last moments. Some pictures from the past few months:

It's been a while since I've been tired to the point of extra emotional because of the tired. But I guess that's what multi-day power outage will do...

So.... this is the power outage map for just one of the utility companies in western WA after the storm last night. My house is out but thankfully my office is still on so could come here for the day and nab some firewood and charge devices for tonight.

I think one of the coolest things that's happened to me in a while is having a job that I like so much that I would easily recommend a friend for a job with me if we were hiring and they could do the kind of work we do. That just feels special and rare.

It's a wild emotional ride when you hear about trans people being physically assaulted and also that your boss reaches out to local personal injury attorneys to help them get the help they need afterward.
