This is fundamentally broken People who think it’s okay to spend $170 million on unauthorized jet purchases yet åre unwilling to release emergency funds for SNAP to support 20 million households — 42 million people, kids, the disabled, and elderly — who otherwise won’t be able to afford to eat.

The government’s emergency was “simply untethered to the facts” wrote District Court Judge Immergut in Oregon in her order stopping deployment of national guard to Portland.
Trump is “simply untethered from the facts.” Perhaps we should be using this as an incantation whenever Trump et al speak.

Trump announced an extraordinary deal for the U.S. government to take a 15% share of Nvidia’s H20 chip sales in China to ease restrictions.
Confused by this because I thought we were restricting tech sales to China for National Security. If they pay us a newly formed sales tax those vanish?

Tommy Tuberville says Trump’s chronic venous insufficiency is the fault of radical liberals.
Meanwhile, Trump continues his battle with free radicals—after his usual McDonald’s and Diet Coke.

Paramount just paid Trump a $16 million bride so they can get federal approval for a multimillion dollar sale. This was not a winnable lawsuit for Trump, so I don’t know how else to parse this.
Can we trust CBS News to report on Trump now that they’ve shown their colors?

The Republicans who control the federal government acted with a reckless disregard for the well being of Americans, especially the poorest. They casually dismissed millions of Americans in favor of tax cuts for their rich patrons and for trillions in addition debt this nation can’t support.

It was really lame, hardly anybody came, and Trump looked so bored that I’m sure by the end he wished he spent his birthday playing golf and eating McDonalds.

Article I, Section 8, [The Congress shall have Power . . . ] To declare War ...
Trump does has no the authority to declare war on Iran, either formally or by authorizing military to act in ways tantamount to the same. Why are Republicans so willing to give away their Constitutional authority?

Impossible to look at Trump’s parade and not see Soviet-era military parades in Red Square, or compare troops in LA with Tiananmen Square and Kent State.
The counter in NO KINGS protests in my town and across America shows who we are and need to be. Standing up against fascism and autocracy.

The problem with peaceful protests in US is law enforcement very rarely allows them to remain peaceful because they assault protestors with tear gas and “non-lethal” weapons, rough up citizens when they feel like it.
Trump is escalating to claim more power. US troops do not belong in our cities.

SensTodd Young and Ted Cruz propose rebranding Pride Months as “Life” month to “recognize the dignity of human life.”
Republicans might talk about the dignity of human life, but when they show their work, it’s all the opposite. Cuts to Medicaid and SNAP do not promote human dignity, for example.

NAH. The jet will be brought up to Air Force One level security using millions of dollars of taxpayer funds, only to be retired basically immediately and then turned over for Trump’s personal use via the library. At which point the next president goes back to using the less luxurious old AF1? Why?

Technically they are calling it a gift to the US Air Force. Since when does the U.S. Air Force transfer millions of dollars of government property to the personal use of anybody? The Reagan library got a retired Air Force One, but it’s an exhibit. Trump plans to use this one as his personal jet.

Trump is poised to acquire $400 million luxury jet from Qatar that will be enhanced with safety and defensive mechanisms at taxpayer expense for limited use as Air Force One for the rest of his term before becoming his personal plane nominally owned by his presidential library. AG claims it’s legal

Swampbuster, Which Protects Millions of Acres of Wetland, Is Under Threat (Gift Article)
A longtime provision of federal law called Swampbuster, which has protected millions of acres of wetland from being farmed, is facing a legal challenge.
This is insane. Wetlands provide essential services and need to be protected. If taxpayers are subsidizing farmers,it is not unreasonable to get something in return. Crop insurance subsidies alone are almost $12 billion, with the average subsidy being 60% of cost.

Untenable because the billionaires buy Trump and others politicians don’t want it. “Mr. Trump suggested that he liked the idea of making millionaires pay higher taxes to help offset tax cuts for others but also said it would be politically untenable.”

Elon Musk, Ken Griffon, Ken Langone (Home Depot) are complaining about Trump’s tariffs.
You bought Trump, you own the tariffs and the economy. No returns
But, you say, there was a manufacturing defect. No, we answer. This was a feature that was well-publicized by Trump before purchase.

They are probably thinking they didn’t get their money’s worth from Trump. They were expecting another tax cut and some regulation erasure. They would have saved a lot of money by backing the Democrats and accepting a tax hike.

In 1870, Wellfleet (MA) sea captain Lorenzo Dow Baker brought the first bananas to the U.S. and thus was born the United Fruit Company, which turned latin American countries into banana republics because its ruthless power squeezed the lifeblood these countries.
Trump is doing this to America.

Please share!!! This is getting ridiculous—they just can’t accept a loss. Please help spread the word to North Carolina. The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that over 60,000 votes cast in last year’s closely contested state Supreme Court race must be verified and recounted.

Republicans truly hate the fact that people who support other candidates are legally allowed to vote. Every time they lose it’s because of (they claim) voter fraud. Only in the counties they lost. Without ever producing a single scrap of evidence. Because there is no voter fraud.
