Aldo I don't really know swords that well. I couldn't find any references for (what I presume to be) a zweihander-heavy sword being held by an oversized candle holder, so had to guess. Please don't come after me. :D

A drawing for swordtember 2025, day seven with the prompt of 'clock' An old-school candle, used to keep track of time by burning at a constant rate has been put into a carrying handle and oversized to sword-proportions. Around the candle are various proposals for fighting styles and carrying styles; an overhead strike has been labeled as 'probably won't work'. To the right, several stages of the candle burning have been depicted, revealing a structural spike around which the candle wax is held. In the bottom right, a proposed name for the weapon reads "The Lightsaber" in a gothic font. Along with the subtext "actually quite heavy)"

#swordtember2025 #swordtember - day 7 (still drawn a day late, but I'll catch up); clock. Loved the idea of an old timing-candle being used as a sword. I figure it's either a magical clerical weapon that helps ward off ghosts/demons/whatever, or it's a training weapon for paladins.

A drawing for 5th day of the drawing challenge Swordtember 2025 for the prompt 'bell'. A long thin sword handle is dotted with grip-studs. The handle is about 1/3rd of the way down the entire length of the handguard that seperates handle from blade, allowing the large weapon to be rested on the shoulder. The blade extends far above, and curves as if to meet the spine of the sword, except several cutouts from the spine have been made along the length, creating space for bells to be attached and hung. The weapon has been used, the bells having dents and cracks, with one having a large segment broken off. The blade itself has been slightly knicked.

A drawing for the art challenge swordtember 2025. Day four, prompt of 'scale'. The same sword is depicted four times; the handle of which has a fold-away ice pick built in for scaling objects. The first depiction shows the sword with the ice-pick out (in 'climb mode'). The second has the pick pivoted downward (in 'sword mode'), so the pick is out of the way of the slashing motion. The next two image depict how it would be held in the previous two images, as well as safety/general features. A metal band preventing the pick from closing on the weilders hand; the rear of the ice pick sharpened to extend the length of the blade by the length of the pick (in sword mode), the rear of the pick (hidden in climb mode) doubling as a bottle opener.

#swordtember #swordtember25 #swordtember2025 today was 'scale'. Kinda liked the idea of a sword being combined with an ice-pick, and feel that this might be somewhat plausible? Well, even if not, I kinda like the overall design.

Feel I kind of whiffed it on the idea today. Much preferred the idea of Maurice Moss from the IT crowd holding a sword. Wanted to draw a merperson though, so this is what I got. Not unhappy with it overall I guess, just the sword part is meh.

Is anyone else having problems with twitch uploads/broadcasts? Did a stream on April 8th, the summary isn't showing a duration, though can still watch it, and despite being well under the 100 hour cap (80-something hours, and it's only a 3 hour long video) can't highlight it.

sometimes i have an idea for a poem or something and while writing am then like "is this a poem? or am i trying to force it to be one? what is a poem anyway?" as much as i love the english language, i find myself infuriated with it for the very same reasons
