Saving the world one line at a time? This talk will try a reflection on successes and failures on open computational science to make a better society. Two decades ago, I went full on working on open source and science, because I knew that these were vectors of progress. Looking back, I helped create the Python scientific ecosystem, and a major machine-learning toolkit, scikit-learn. What were the drivers of success as software projects? As societal projects? What aspects of open source software makes better science? And better societies?
Off to #RSECon23, where I will present a keynote expending slightly from my usual topics

Quand on dit "personne peut me convaincre du contraire", est-ce la même chose que quand on dit "prove me wrong" en anglais, ou est-ce plus la même chose que on dit "no one can convince me otherwise" (ou un autre sens)?
