I can't stress enough that if you don't vibe with your GP, if it is within possibilities you should absolutely get another one. It's not rude at all, it's about your health and all that jazz.

Last week when I had to call to make an appointment I wasn't even anxious and I hate phone calls (for myself) with a burning passion.

You know what's vitally important? Having a GP you actually like. I avoided doctor's appointments like the plague for years because that woman scared me. Now I'm at a practice where I not only like my own doctor, but also the substitute and the assistents.
