Just back from my holidays to discover this fantastic new book by @jonmelville.bsky.social on my doorstep - I was lucky enough to read a prerelease version & Kermit is looking forward to getting stuck into the actual published book of Rainbow Connections - Volume 1!

Young people use traditional skills to restore Whithorn buildings Young people learning traditional craft skills are rebuilding centuries-old sites in southern Scotland.

Great to see that repairs are nearing completion at 9 High Street in Whithorn - a project that we supported with a #HESsupported grant in 2022.

As part of the project, young people have been gaining hands-on experience and learning all about traditional craft skills. ⬇️

“Impossible” to compare English Doctor salaries to any other countries?! I can think of 3 other countries, quite close to England - one just above, two just to the left of it, which have *very similar* National Health Services which could make quite a useful comparison…

It was a pleasure to be at the opening of The Ridge’s new support centre on Black Bull Close, Dunbar, yesterday.

It’s great to see two 18th-century buildings rescued from ruin and opened up to help the charity provide essential services and skills training to the local community. (1/3)

Great to be in London yesterday at the Cinema Museum giving a @scottishcinemas.org update for the AGM of @CTheatreAssoc - the core of the collection there is from Aberdeen so lots of Scottish cinema artefacts on display!
