These reminders are from this very beautiful video from @quantamagazine.bsky.social. I am still optimistic about my thoughts though.

I believed that as there are different ways to express the same thing. We might have ended up describing the molecular systems in the most complicated form that is hard to solve. And there might be a different easier form to solve the same thing. Or maybe not.

Hence the underlying equations must be simpler too.

The main headline reads: “Trans fats can kill.” Below, it states: “Trans fats can be found in many margarines, vegetable shortenings, fried & baked foods.” The image includes drawings of a red carton of French fries and a tub of margarine with a knife. At the bottom, the graphic notes: “Every 2% increase in energy intake from trans fats increases risk of dying by 14% and heart disease by 25%.”
A recent WHO study found that every 2% increase in energy intake from #TransFats significantly raises the risk of:
💔 heart disease by 25%
😐 death from any cause by 14%

I went to an AI talk series today just to hear from the speaker - "the career you believed in and working on since day 1 is dead". I laughed at myself.

A wonderful insight and discussion on capitalism and how we are wearing "pink glasses". The explanations by @graceblakeley.substack.com were simple and grounded. A must watch. We are not alone. Cooperate rather than compete.

An amazing article by the economist showcases the true spirit of free speech. My favourite line - " But also ... believing in free speech means defending speech you don’t like." Many neo-liberals are getting it wrong. #politics
