And thanks to SO MANY other trades who I have learned from/talked to/became friends with on here. So many people have been a huge part of this journey for me, and I can't wait to keep it going!

Here's to the next $1,000,000! 🍻

5) @AllDayA_ for being a baller long-biased trader that I've gotten a ton of advice from and helped expand on my current strategy a lot.

6) @timothysykes for OBVIOUS reasons. From video lessons/mentorship, to friendship, you're always there for me and all your students.

3) @JBones333 for being the best Trading Accountability Buddy I could have asked for. Btw I miss you and I'm so glad you're absolutely crushing it lately.

4) @Dom_Mastro10 For teaching me proper risk management/importance of big picture charting (multiday charts).

Thanks to:

1) @mono_trader for getting me introduced to the market, Sykes, and for staying friends all the way through.

2) @DansGamePoker for taking the time to help me learn the same strategy I trade today and being an amazing trading friend for years now.

If I'm being honest, there are so many other things I can think to mention right now, but I'm completely exhausted and want to take a nap. But before I do, I want to give special thanks to a few people who REALLY helped me out along the way...

Lesson 5 Cont:

Which helped me use lessons I learned on my own and apply them to those videos. But whatever you do, find mentorship from a teacher you trust. I learned from @timothysykes and now teach myself in @SmallCapRockets. Ideally, find one that trades a similar style to u

Lesson 5: Mentorship

I wish I had tried getting mentorship a lot earlier in my trading. But I wanted to prove I could do it solo. Within months of joining the Sykes Challenge, I became profitable.

However, I also studied so much content from him and his students...

Lesson 4 Cont:

Use these resources to become friends with someone who has the same goals as you and is in a similar trading spot to you.

Let them know your trading rules, as they let you know theirs. Hold each other accountable every day and grow together.

Lesson 4: Trading Friends

"Trading is lonely". I heard this so many times when I first got started in 2017, but the world is a different place now.

Discord, Twitter, Chatrooms, etc., have all made it easier to connect with like-minded people...

Lesson 3: Risk Management

You will not succeed without proper risk management. But it's not a one size fits all. Every setup I take, I manage my risk slightly differently. I could go on, but here's a video I made for learning risk mgmt as a new trader:

Lesson 2 Cont:

I was 2 months away from "graduating" college (never happened lol), and had no plan, and I kept losing as a trader.

Through journaling every day, I objectively learned/studied what I was good at, and cut the rest out. Here's a sample entry from around that time:

Lesson 2: Journaling

The biggest thing I did to turn my trading around was journaling. I remember the week things finally started turning around for me. I frustratedly walked about 4-5 miles per day during April 2020, crying alone after another failed trading day...

Lesson 1 Cont:

During this early part of your journey, focus on keeping losses small. While I know I didn't do the best job tracking every trade I took (big mistake) and this might be off by another $1k or so, I'm so glad I never had an acct bigger than $5-$10k while learning.

Lesson 1: The Journey is Long

I know nearly everyone felt the same way when they first started trading. That you'll be the exception. You will figure it out in a few months.

But no matter who you are, it will likely take AT LEAST 1-2 years before any consistency.
