When I had rotator cuff surgery I rented a recliner. It was still hard to get comfortable. I switched back and forth between that and the bed. There are lay flat recliners, of course you'd want a power one.

Depending on which hand you wipe with in the toilet, consider getting a bidet seat. They're not hard to install.
