Saw Superman tonight. What a wonderful film. Not perfect, I felt a distinctly brainiac-shaped hole in the script, and I'm not sure I like how they handled the Els, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

I made a face rig for Sonic that can handle switching between side-mouth, front-mouth, or whatever. The weight painting is pretty shit and it'll need a lot more work for complicated facial expressions but it surprisingly isn't a complete topology nightmare.

I use aseprite already. Its for pixel art animation and the creation of sprites. What Im describing is using Sprites as puppets in a larger scene, which Aseprite cannot do.

PANEL 1: A person looks with a confused expression at a computer, with an arrow reading "easily verifiable information" pointing at it. PANEL 2: They lean over their shoulder and ask "Grug, is this real?" to somebody off screen. PANEL 3: Zoomed out, and we see they were talking to a stereotypical caveman, standing right behind them, also looking at the computer. PANEL 4: We cut to the caveman beating the absolute brakes off the guy repeatedly with a club, blood and chunks shooting all over the place.
