hell yeah. i'm sorry i missed it, i was in an extremely bad headspace last night. really exto see this footage. is that Dustin Boyle? i know his stuff is super legit.

Trying desperately to remember what it was like when i wasn't a ball of triggers and trauma responses. It was less than three years ago.

I do think i'm getting closer to feeling like a whole person again, but the most annoying thing about healing is that it's nonlinear & these setbacks will happen.

Day 1. Inciting incident.
Day 2. Can't move. In bed overthinking & having overwhelming emotional responses.
Day 3. Picking myself up, reminding myself that other people's actions have nothing to do with me & are not a reflection on my value as a person. People don't even think about me that much.

The "cognitive decline and brain damage from repeat COVID infections" and "easy to use robot that makes slop and melts your critical thinking skills" is a hell of a combo in a post-fact media ecosystem

If HUNTR/X are supposed to keep demon hunting secret, what we hear is either far too revealing, or would be nonsense to audiences. There's too much plot in the songs. I'm saying that the songs their fans are hearing in universe are not the same songs we hear as viewers.

i don't know why they retitled it Lepers and Sex and marketed it as a porno. it's less risqué than Titanic. the extended scenes were more cowboy insults than nudity. none of the lepers got any action and we still don't know how leprosy was cured. i feel like Santo made it up to stop them fighting.

i'm 45 minutes in and there have been 2 sex scenes, which total about a minute and a half. i think other scenes have been extended, though, to add more cowboy banter? when do we solve leprosy with fucking??? i need to see the sexy scientific method!

This is the 2nd PH Indicator release i've watched, after 1980's Night of the Hunted, which was also recut into a porno. With that one, they put porn scenes in the bonus features, rather than including the complete alternate cut. Hunted's sex scenes were grossly unappealing. Santo's are just boring.

I...i think it's the same movie, but with 7 minutes of random sex scenes thrown in where they don't make sense.

Alright now i'm gonna watch the porn version. It's called Lepers And Sex. i love that these are on the same disc.

Overall, Santo vs The Riders of Terror was pretty enjoyable. The first half was poignant, like if Starship Troopers predicted 9/11 then this predicted Covid-19. or else maybe humans, despite technological advances, just never really change. Second half got sad, then very silly.

Angry mob: (approaches the hospital with torches and yelling)
Sheriff: (rides his horse to the front of the mob) Look we recovered the kidnapped woman!
Mob: (all lower their torches, smile, make an awww sound)

0% of this movie has dealt with actually treating the contagious leprosy. Santo finds the runaway lepers and says "Science has found a new cure for your condition!" uhhh offscreen i guess in the 3 days since you escaped the hospital. maybe they solve it in the porn version. with fucking.

Sherriff: "What are yall doing"
Crowd: "We're gonna burn down the hospital and shoot anyone who runs out!"
Sherriff: "Jesus christ calm down."

Santo: "Violence won't accomplish anything, except pushing these people elsewhere to spread their lies."
5 minutes later
Santo: (kicks the fearmonger's ass)

40 minutes, the fearmonger just gave a 1970s equivalent of "give me your personal data if you've got nothing to hide."

a little over 30 min in and Santo, the luchador, has finally arrived in this wild west town, and met with te sherriff. calls it immediately. "The contagion is a problem but our biggest problem is mass hysteria."
