When I record directly for Indie authors they're usually fine with on-the-fly fixes. But yes, it's not our job to make judgements on "creative choice." Recent example, a character "furled his brows." 99% sure the author meant "furrowed," but maybe it was a creative choice? :)

Yep, you'd be correct! Surprisingly, you're more likely to hear the typos/errors preserved in the more higher profile books for the big publishers (Hachette, RandomHouse, etc...) because the narration has to be word perfect. (cont)

As an audio book narrator, I am *required* to read what is written, even the typos. If I unconsciously correct it while narrating, I'll get a pickup to "fix" it back to the wrong word.
