We've published episode 30: AI Booster? AI Doomer? You're Wrong Either Way. Happy Listening!
28.07.2025 12:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1Want more content from the Fallthrough team? Well good news! We have an aftershow now, so you can get even more deep and nuanced conversation. Our latest episode is a fun one, and you can listen here (or through your favorite podcasting app): break.show/ep/2
23.07.2025 16:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We've published episode 29: Versioning: We Did It To Ourselves. Happy Listening!
21.07.2025 12:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1We've published episode 28: [Break] You're Now Less Wrong About REST. Happy Listening!
15.07.2025 21:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Completely on brand for @steveklabnik.com and @skriptble.me to talk about REST for two hours and still have more to say.
Is there anything we didnβt cover but you wish we had? Should we talk more about how things like GraphQL are actually quite RESTful?
We've published episode 28: Why You're Wrong About REST. Happy Listening!
14.07.2025 12:00 β π 7 π 2 π¬ 1 π 1We finally did it! After recording an episode of @fallthrough.fm, @matthewsanabria.dev and I recorded our post show discussion (featuring @www.jvt.me!).
Thatβll be shipping alongside next weekβs episode, which includes the wonderful @steveklabnik.com as well!
Itβs an impressive feat that @steveklabnik.com only mentioned like 5 old grumpy French philosophers in this episode!
07.07.2025 16:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We've published episode 27: Language and Codes of Misconduct. Happy Listening!
07.07.2025 12:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We've published episode 27: What Even Is A [Programming|Natural] Language?. Happy Listening!
07.07.2025 12:00 β π 4 π 2 π¬ 0 π 1I love when we record an episode and wind up on such a long, but somehow still related, tangent that we accidentally made an entire extra episode.
Also, when you let @steveklabnik.com cook, he will, in fact, continue cooking until you stop him.
Hope you enjoy the episode and it provides you with some useful info!
01.07.2025 15:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We've published episode 26: SIMD & Go. Happy Listening!
30.06.2025 12:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Anyway, if you like @fallthrough.fm and want to see it keep growing into the future, consider supporting us by becoming one of our supporters. You can do so at fallthrough.fm/subscribe, and our plans start at only $5 per month!
26.06.2025 14:24 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0This coming week's episode is a fun one about SIMD and Go. This week we shipped an episode about product, project, and program management. The week before it was about error handling in Go. I'd love to expand out even further. Maybe do some episodes about audio and video in software?
26.06.2025 14:24 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0With @fallthrough.fm, though, we've managed to keep a pretty healthy queue of scheduled episodes. We actually have 1 episode recorded and ready for post, 3 schedule to record in the next week, and 2 more that are ready for scheduling when we need them.
26.06.2025 14:24 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0We've published episode 25: The Three Ps: Understanding Product, Project, and Program Management. Happy Listening!
23.06.2025 12:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Craving some Fallthrough this weekend? Well episode 25 just shipped for our Fallthrough Friend and Fallthrough Fam supporters!
Get yourself some weekend Fallthrough by singing up at fallthrough.fm/subscribe.
We've published episode 24: Go's Error Handling Is Handled. Happy Listening!
16.06.2025 12:01 β π 5 π 2 π¬ 0 π 1Iβd like to offer more to our supporters. Thereβs much we need to build, but I want to figure out what to prioritize.
If youβre a supporter, what extras would you like to see? What would push you to support at a higher tier?
If you arenβt a supporter yet, what would push you to become one?
Just finished mastering episode 24 of @fallthrough.fm, which is actually our 25th episode since our first was episode 0.
For one, Iβm amazed that weβve been able to not only ship 25 episodes, but also do so every week (on the same weekday with a couple exceptions).
We've published episode 23: A Discourse On AI Discourse. Happy Listening!
09.06.2025 12:00 β π 4 π 3 π¬ 1 π 1Just had a fantastic conversation with @steveklabnik.com and @matthewsanabria.dev about AI discourse and more.
Itβs basically a continuation of the conversation he had on Oxide & Friends, so if you havenβt already you should listen to that before the @fallthrough.fm episode.
Thatβs an excellent idea! Especially since build systems in Go is a tricky topic and one thatβs more or less built in with Zig.
Weβll kick the tires on this idea and see what we can do.
Thank you for the suggestion!
Weβre so glad youβre enjoying the show!
We donβt have any Zig specific content planned yet, but weβre hoping to do more in the future. Is there anything in particular youβd like to see us make an episode about?
We've published episode 22: Building An Open Source Maintenance Company. Happy Listening!
02.06.2025 12:00 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0That was the original plan, but some behind the scenes changes meant there was an opportunity for her to host some episodes!
Sheβs still doing a lot of producing, but for these last several episodes it made the most sense for her to host as well.
