I've updated the GIF picker on desktop and mobile to load GIFs faster, using newer formats! we now prefer WebP over raw GIF and WebM over MP4. we've seen dramatic improvements to loading speeds and bandwidth usage from this change!

my handle bsky.lorypelli.dev is just a cloudflare worker made in Rust github.com/LoryPelli/Bl... yeah it's probably too much code for just a thing like that, but I wanted a redirect to my account like normal handles have (if you didn't know, yes they do). Rust is cool I can say, I enjoyed using it.😉

If you're curious how I got my handle, I have a wildcard DNS record for *.pnly.io with my AtProto ID.

This means I can make my handle literally.anything.i.want.at.any.time.pnly(.)io

You can do this too, getting a domain on CF costs maybe $20/year. Not bad for infinite handles.

i still see so many people in the Svelte community shitting on React. it really gives a bad look to the community as a whole. React is good, svelte is good, vue is good, htmx is good, most modern tools are good. i urge those new to development to not identify with tools. just use what you enjoy!
