Oh, I won't! I've been pulling my books from them over the past couple years and only have two left with them: Ordinary Souls and The Portals of Sparkling Falls. Someone returned a shitload of copies of the latter, which got me the negative royalties.

Have any of you seen anything like this before? On a scale of 1 to 10, how pathetic is their attempt at a last-minute cash grab?

They want me to send them $110.83 through PayPal to cover the negative balance in my royalty account. (Which isn't something that was addressed in my contract and, I'm assuming, not legally binding.)

I went to the Bethel Branch of the Clermont County Public Library and wrote 2,500 words. In all this week, I've added 12,000 words to the sequel to my weird scifi adventure novel, Dalton Kane and the Greens, which is the most I've written in 5 days in a very long time.

The weather turned frosty and foul overnight, so I stayed home with the kid and managed to write 2,000 words in spite of the constant barrage of toddler questions. My messy living room may not be as peaceful as the local library, but I'll take it.
