Fair, but for me a big part of sports is the live discussion when something happens (could be a highlight or a big transfer/trade) and I don't think Instagram is effective in that regard. A few hours after it happens and it makes its way to the algorithm then Instagram is definitely king

Strong disagree. It's nowhere near as big if not for X. Does it become viral by internet standards, maybe, but it doesn't do these type of numbers without X. I think I remember counting like a 100 million of views just from various X accounts combined

And you can say X is a less useful tool, but how many of the views from the bicycle kick goal in the final came from X? The goal that the CPL literally could not stop talking about how much engagement it got? Does that happen without X?

So the CPL should be using outstanding companies like FB/Insta? Because Zuck tries harder than Elon to hide how bad of a person he is? Maybe the CPL shouldn't be using anything that runs on Amazon servers because of Bezos and what he is doing with the WP or how employees at Amazon get treated.

I use Reddit as well for sports and it definitely has its niche. I don't find game threads on Reddit to be one of those.

There's no other place to be when news breaks then to be on Twitter (maybe Bluesky in the future).

How? A big part of sports Twitter is following along to things happening live (whether that be watching a game live or breaking news). Reddit is absolutely terrible for that.

Yeah I feel like the CPL should be either heading to a 14 team league with 26 games or a 16 team league with 30 games (Home&Away against every team)

Like I really do understand the savings on travel, but I also really hate the idea of conferences. If we aren't working towards a Home/Away against every team it will severely effect my interest in the league

Was really hoping for some different provinces.

Also not a fan of East/West set up (I know it's about travel costs).
