I am not a batting coach so his issue might not be fixable but if I were him I'd cut down on his swing just to make contact. Seems like he is always behind on the pitch

Yeah its like the reverse Posey argument. Dude has good offensive numbers but his defense was suspect and he wasnt viewed as the main cog for the team. Maybe if he would have had a cool nickname , he would have gotten more love.
