GitHub copilot used to be kind of horrible, and I used to buy pro just so I can use the unlimited GPT 4.1 in other things but they really did make it good. It seems better than Claude Code..

Copilot itself sucks but the $10 is well worth it just for the generous API you can use for other things. Unlimited GPT 4.1 for agent file editing etc is good enough - you can use smarter models to plan out everything then let 4.1 do the work. Made a cool helper tool

Anyone else feel like AI has ignited a flame inside? I feel like I did as a kid getting so obsessed with coding and making things. I even like to fall asleep to AI podcasts so I can dream about it.

I know it needs a few things like collapsed / expandable folders, token counter, maybe also an optional .aicp settings file for folders so it knows exactly which files from last time. GUI is quicker for me

I often try to use lots of other models to save money but sometimes end up wasting hours.. then I ask Claude and bam.. gets it right first try 😂

I made a GUI version of a similar tool that doesn’t require internet/github. It will auto-select likely code files then let you use checkboxes to add more or take some off etc.. wuu73.org/aicp

I read somewhere that for reasoning models, the quicker is starts typing the output the more accurate it is generally.

But r1 really does seem better than Deepseek v3 so the reasoning seems to help, at least for coding.

Sonnet is still so so good. It’s the best one.

Experimenting with making a coding agent that iterates over the output to improve and error correct and add things. Generates many variations and tries to get creative on its own. Just trying to make it do something cool on its own.

Just because someone didn’t “suffer” when they made something doesn’t mean they didn’t make it. They’re the most awesome tools to have ever existed. It’s like resisting using calculators or a computer.

Yes! Just gotta tweak it and make sure it’s following all the rules etc. I was going to add caching to it since people will likely want to analyze the same thing others have analyzed but I want to add some kind of error/accuracy/quality checking first. I am open to any ideas 😎
