Interesting that it got the hashtag wrong.

Very surprised to see GPT-4.5 falling into a loop outputting random tokens in a normal prompt!

It says that 4o has a context length of 1M. Isn’t that a typo?

When Big American tech does it, they argue gobbling gigabytes of proprietary data is β€œfair use”, when someone else does it β€œagainst the terms of service”.

Has OpenAI considered cutting down on lattes and avocado toast?

I think one of the most underrated apps that ships on iOS/macOS is Freeform. It’s the closest I feel to having the freedom of paper on a digital device (when it’s paired with an iPad and an Apple Pencil).

It's important to distinguish between supporting legal immigration generally and advocating specifically for tech immigration to fill high-skilled jobs. While both positions have merit, they're driven by different motivations and have distinct implications.

One of the best apps I use everyday continues to be Matter!
Really enjoyed reading Zvi’s posts this year, even though I discovered β€œDon’t worry about the case” this year.

$500 is a lot! It only makes sense for enterprises where something like this might make sense for some initial testing. If they are big enough, they probably already have an internal solution.

Have you used Windsurf? Is it really better than having a back-and-forth conversation with multiple LLMs at the same time?

It’s really interesting having an archive of my conversations with different LLMs. Then I can go and check the new releases against the old ones and see if there is any actual improvements.

I feel like just around 4 PM I’m able to finally have a distraction-free block of time, free of work and conversations, to finally do some proper work.

I recently got (the latest, cheapest) Kindle reader and I’ve already finished reading one book using it. I really like the slow and boring interface, it’s less distracting.
And it made me appreciate public libraries even more. I can just easily borrow books from the library and read them wherever.

Really enjoy the new editor from the creators of Atom called Zed. I don’t know how to program in Rust but it’s great that it’s open-source so I can hack around and make some (small) changes.
And I really like the β€œAssistants” integration!

I stopped using Twitter (and other social media) about two years ago. Now back after a while to see how this thing is. I hope I can find my people and new people, and learn from them.
