Maybe revising this opinion now, this was initially an exciting race in large part because Max did a brilliant job in qualifying and Lando ending turn 1 further back. The McLarens checked out in front. #f1

I do feel like Max races Lando differently, I think Max smells a weakness and wants to bully him on track as much as he can to just press an advantage. Lando I think is a bit faster in race pace than Oscar, but Oscar has a bit better race craft & mental resilience. Either way, they're close. #f1

Maybe the best thing we get out of the Lewis -> Ferrari move is the return of sassy Lewis. #f1

That was nearly another "AND THROUGH GOES HAMILTON!" moment #f1

Wow the Williams look mega, when was the last time you saw two Williams overtaking a Mercedes and a Ferrari on the same lap? #f1

Lewis been stuck at like ~0.500 behind Ocon for many laps now.. #f1

Ferraris (particularly Lewis due to qualifying) struggling behind Williams cars has been a theme this season, but with Charles also dropping back to up to 2 seconds behind, it's really showing how bad Ferrari are doing and how well Williams are doing. #f1

I've not been a fan of this track since its introduction, but this is really quite a good race. #f1

Lewis has woken up a bit and is now on the back of Esteban, Charles dropped back from the Williams.

That was an entertaining sprint, I'm not the biggest fan of the Miami track. Feel bad for Antonelli - he lost the start fairly, but the disastrous mistake from the Red Bull pit crew put the nail in the coffin there. Max ended up last through no fault of his own.

Lewis calling to go softs paid off.

That was amazing from Kimi, really great to see him on pole. I'll be cheering for him in the sprint. #F1

Max deserves the penalty, he's brilliant, and these moves are part of the reason why - he pushes the rules to their limits. But these moves are wrong and basically unplayable if everyone drove like that. #f1

True, but you only need to look to the last engine regulation changes to see that an engine that is much better than the rest can patch over issues in other areas.

A boring race for Piastri, no drama, relatively easy for him. Very well done for him. Not so easy for George with all of his issues, he's quietly one of the very best drivers this season. Possibly top 3. #f1

Kimi may have flubbed his start a bit, but I've really enjoyed watching him this race. I'm voting him driver of the day. #f1

were they... actually right?! Lewis is has now overtaken 5 cars since coming out of the pits, Charles got ahead of Lando. Crazy performance improvement. #f1

I love watching Kimi race, he's so scrappy. Definitely flashes of young Max. #f1

And they've gone to mediums again, Hamilton lost two positions. Leclerc being chased closely by Gasly. The Ferrari strategy not looking great at the moment, but who knows how this'll turn out. #f1

Those mediums not really working yet for Ferrari, Leclerc sliding over the curbs a bit, not able to pull away from Gasly. Hamilton not really making much of an impression on Sainz or dropping Tsunoda. #f1
