20 dollars is for many a reasonable entry-fee to see what all the fuss is about. If the trailers and gameplay footage is representative of the product as-is, then it seems like a fair price, too.

And Citizen Kane.
No point in sticking to Twitter. It has become a hive of scum and villainy.
20.11.2025 09:56 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I played the first one when it came out way back when, and I can barely remember anything from it, other than I had a good time. How does the sequel stack up compared to the first?
19.11.2025 12:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I feel like this particular fun fact being posted now, coinciding with Cloudflare having network issues, is a little sassy. ๐คญ
18.11.2025 14:11 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I would also argue that unless you pin down what "indie" actually means, and use it willy nilly based on "feels" or "vibes", it will lose all meaning as a descriptor.
So what does Indie actually mean these days?
Interesting hypothesis. What are your testing methods? Do you have any data to peer review?
Have you tested other languages on worms, or did you try C++ on multiple different animals? Or did you try it on differently sized worms since you put emphasis on size? We need details!
Expedition 33 is a damn fantastic game, no doubt about that.
But it shouldn't be in the "indie" category because it has a publisher (Kepler Interactive), and Andy Serkis should also have been nominated for his performance in E33.
I haven't played DS2 (because it's not on PC yet), so I can't say if it's better or worse than Clair Obscur, but it has to be really damn impressive if it has to beat Clair Obscur this year.

Come to Denmark, we may surprise you!
The whole concept of the "metaverse" (and the coinage of the term) comes from the novel "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson. And it's basically a cautionary tale about runaway capitalism and living/working half your life in a virtual world.
Great book, can recommend, but stop trying to make it real! ๐ก
Just asking for clarification:
Because this is for US elections, donations from countries outside the US are not allowed, correct? It could fall under foreign interference laws if I am not mistaken, so I just wanna make sure.
4-8: The Incredible Machine + Wacky Wheels + Doom + Jetpack + Micro Machines
9-12: Crash Bandicoot trilogy, Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers, PS1 Harry Potter, Harry Potter 2 for PC
13-15: Counter Strike: Condition Zero
15-18: GTA San Andreas, Team Fortress 2
1800 buckaroos in this economy? Is Samsung trying to lose money? Granted, it's about half of that ridiculous Apple headset, but it's still way way WAY beyond the layman's budget. Even the Valve Index was only 1000 with all of the equipment in the box.
15.11.2025 11:21 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It does seem like Embark is very fond of AI generated assets, and I'm not sure I like this trend at all.
Like, AI behavior trained to walk naturally on difficult terrain is one thing, but generated voices for TTS just sits wrong with me.
I know, I was just having a bit of fun. ๐

Yay for a sequel! Boo for "AI first" Krafton.
14.11.2025 12:58 โ ๐ 28 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I can definitely see the Horizon Universe as a multiplayer setting. Like, a hunting party of 2-6 people fighting huge machines with various bows, traps, etc. could be a new interesting spin on the "Monster Hunter" genre.
I *cannot* see it is an MMORPG however.
You know what they say about broken clocks...

Celeste, Sea of Stars, Terraria, Core Keeper, etc. They'll look just as good 20 or 30 years from now as they do today.
IIRC they did this deliberately to make her more similar to the manga character design.

These days it's getting harder to tell if you're talking to a bot, and if you're talking to a person, there's also a non-zero chance you're talking to a troll.
