I'm cluttering this thread even more but I think I have the most complete version of my alphabet cheat sheet from the letters currently available as I have been unable to find the last three letters from current samples. Dot logic seems to occur on the major hexagon vertices not touched by lines.

It's true. I had a hunch and went back to that banner texture to confirm it, cause I had originally been confused as to why it just said "wanted for but stuf". I'm glad whoever made it didn't forget how to spell "butt stuff". 😂

We found the missing letters, so hey! Who wants an Dragon Age Elven font!

As a side note, in game they seems to use a symbol as a space, and we have not found punctuation. So for this font, the 'space' symbol is a '.' drive.google.com/drive/folder...

The funny thing is that I didn't realize it was the owl poem at first and was just trying things cause it was a large block of text. So I came across OWLS and OWL as a possible solution there while trying some small words and jumped back in our chat like "YOU GUYS IS THIS THE OWL TEXT???" (bonus/2)

realizing that the first word of the first line (pattern ABCD) and the second to last of the last line (pattern ABC) could be OWLS and OWL since it was the owl statue poem. Then everything started slotting into place! (2/2)

Yeah! Once Ash had identified individual letters in the owl poem, I just treated it like a normal English cryptogram. Look for common small words like "is" and "to" and such, then fill in matching glyphs in other words to see if it makes any sense. The aha moment for me was (1/2)

I don't think so. We got the K from the word SPOOKY in the owl statue poem, but it looks very much like the Tevene Q...

Or if you wanna drop some language evolution lore and tell us that Q and X and Z didn't exist in ancient elven and got made up by later cultures...? 👀

This was the most fun cryptogram I have ever had the pleasure of working on! I'm delighted by the similarities and differences in letters across the various scripts, too. It paints such a fun picture of the evolution of written language in Thedas!
