Oh, I see. I live in the woods and have all kinds of animals. I’d love to put up a heated birdbath, but can’t figure out how to keep it from being damaged.

Have you ever had problems with animals drinking all the water out of the birdbath at night, and the heater then burning out? Or squirrels gnawing through the power cord?

This would be perfect for trail cameras. A lower-cost way to take high quality photos/videos of animals at night without spooking the animals.

Many years ago I lived in Cleveland, and the police would put a notice in the newspaper announcing the upcoming days and locations of speed traps on freeways. That way they caught mostly non-residents; didn’t want the local taxpayers pissed off! 😄

Wonderful northern lights display tonight! Could see the folded curtain effect as well as the colors and constant motion.
Funny, it’s actually harder (at least for me) to photograph them when they fill the sky than when they’re just on the horizon.

Wow!

I had no idea #Iceland was mosquito-free until now. Wonder if this is climate change related. Anyway, as a #Minnesota north woods resident, part of me feels sympathy for Icelanders and part of me can’t help laughing.
