I have DSL, no fiber-optic available in my aarea. The phone company canโ€™t manage to communicate with Apple to fix the glitch that my DSL mail canโ€™t show up in my Apple Mail app. And their webmail just sux. Sigh, thereโ€™s always something, eh?

It was pretty cool for not having been out of college for long. When I was hired and the partner suggested a salary, I was astounded. His reply was, โ€œWell, Nani, youโ€™re really used to being taken advantage of, arenโ€™t you!โ€ They later did VERY well when mobile phones came on the scene.

I keep envisioning that trophy as a big ugly dusty Lump Of Coal! Ha ha!

You got to your keyboard for a small rant. Itโ€™s a start. No hurry, though; be good to you.

I freely admit that I just donโ€™t want to mess with those old pens, as much as I loved them in 1973!

London & Cambridge. The partners even paid everyoneโ€™s way! We stayed in a cool little Chelsea flat.

Ha ha! More like the furtive glimpse category, I suspect! People seemed to think Thomas had a bomb in his pack. We were an odd bunch. It was a quirky consulting engineering company, with the partners there for an international engineering conference. The other 3 of us were tag-alongs. We had fun in

@katyshep.bsky.social that was a long time ago. My coworker Thomas looked like a large leprechaun or a red-haired, bushy bearded Irish terrorist. He carried a daypack. People on buses/trains kept their distance. I looked Scandinavian with 2 long braids. Brits wondered how to categorize us.

I visited London in โ€˜80 or โ€˜81 w/ the small company I worked for. Came home with the worst case of bronchitis. The air there was crappy & we were walking a lot. Also the plane was divided in half lengthwise, smokers on left half, non- on right. Unfiltered Players, ugh! Me w/ head under blanket!

Two types I donโ€™t follow back: those who want endless financial support and those who have only one cause to post about incessantly.

Regulations are what keeps ordinary Americans healthy and, often, alive.

It took spoiled meat and rodent droppings out of our food. It took harmful lead out of our gasoline and paint. It took poison out of our water.

Deregulation only achieves one goal: making rich corporations richer.

How exactly does this greedy manโ€™s plan benefit homeless, hungry, grieving, war-weary Palestinians? They get fenced-in โ€œcampsโ€ and if lucky, the OK to commute to low-wage jobs in the rich peopleโ€™s waterfront zone? Iโ€™d be furious if that was my situation. Thatโ€™s not peace.
