School leaders say changes in cell phone policies are working
Wichita Public Schools implemented a new cell phone policy last year, and held a discussion on its efficacy Monday.
In a plan similar to what the Kansas State Board of Education is voting on next month, the Wichita district is looking at implementing a true bell-to-bell cell-phone free policy, eliminating access to cell phones for the entire school day.
