"Finding #RecoveryThroughActivity was 'a lightbulb moment'. It represents everything that occupational therapists do well, and enables us to provide greater parity across mental health and learning disability services. The handbook is a must-read for all occupation-centred providers"

The degree to which I perceive my abilities shapes my personal causation, influencing my volition. When I see myself as competent, I act with confidence, enhancing engagement and well-being

Personal Causation is related to self-esteem, health & well-being.

The World Health Organisation's definition of mental health (2022) starts by saying it is, 'A state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities ...'

You're stranded on an island with the squad, which team mate would: 1.lead? 2.first to panic? 3.best at building shelter? 4.be the hunter? 5.be most useless at surviving?6. would eat all the emergency supplies? 7.be morale booster? 8.would take on a bear?

According to MOHO, change begins with meaningful goals (volition), aligning new behaviours with routines (habituation), and adapting skills and environments to support engagement. Practice fosters mastery, embedding habits into roles and identity.

Parliament does not need to be a place. It is a process focused on considering legislation and holding the government to account. Instead of spending billions on the Palace of Westminster, they should move it online and have MPs based in their constituencies.
