Tough game, but I'm hoping for a 2 nil win. We all need a lift, recent performances and too many school boy errors are dragging us all down. Back to basics please MC.

Will we make a move for Cameron Archer now?

Makes sense. Nice guy, but he's just not good enough

Morris getting lots of praise, rightly so. Glover did well tonight, did what was needed and no mistakes πŸ™Œ

I agree.

I think my point is that we are just not very good at defending/ preventing chances with our team set up, as much as we used to be.

I'd rather see us get a 0-0 than let a 3 goal slip through poor defence, hence the "minority " fan comment

Just to add. Karankas team was built around keeping a clean sheet. Like most good teams.

The modern game is not built around a solid defence, but "risk and reward'.

Can't compare the teams/eras at all. The whole game and style has changed too much since 2016 and the 'Pep' revolution.

I think I'm in the minority, but I'm not a fan of this "modern" style football. It's good when in possession, but defensively is far too exposed (at all levels)

Interested to learn your view of "modern football" Vic.

My view, its complete utter madness. More risk than reward.

And I am soooooo glad it's biting Pep on the arse right now

I said this after 10 mins of the 2nd half.
Why didn't carrick make some tactical switch at half time, or at least after their 1st goal, to counter their change πŸ€”
His tactical nativity is what is needed to learn from this game, as well as countless others this season, which is fizzling out quickly

I was more worried about us gifting away a goal, like we seem to do every week. But we looked more SOLid, with Sol in nets.

I hope so. But they've got a good team spirit, work hard, and score goals. I do think we have the better squad, but we need to be a lot more consistent

Only enjoyable at the final whistle. Good 3 points, but I thought millwall played well and deserved something

14.12.2024 20:35 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Sorry for your loss. He'll have been there in spirit today, cheering the lads

They're currently 6 points better than us, with almostbhalf the season over, and have beaten us. So on that basis if they aren't making theplay offs, then we certainly aren't

Sol Brynn. Makes saves, catches crosses and good, quick distribution. Generally brings confidence and calmness to the defence. A refreshing change from Dieng.

What was his excuse for Hackney, Azaz, Doak?

10.12.2024 23:55 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Boro made sure of the defeat there. Created our own problems, over and over again.

We are miles away from a top 2 finish, and on tonights evidence I'm thinking top 6 will be a stretch.

Need Sol in goal, a decent LB, Fry and Morris back fit

10.12.2024 22:12 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

True. But we already have a better keeper than Dieng sat on the bench

10.12.2024 20:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Does Dieng realise his job is to stop the ball going in the goal?

He is costing us almost every game

Dieng at fault again!!!! How is he still getting a game @boro #utb #utfb

He was poor tonight. Hopefully just a one off

Agreed with those scores. Conditions didn't help, but we were sloppy in possession too often, more than Burnley

They should put this concept as a vote to all fans .....I'd be more than happy with it, it ticks all the boxes

Too young for Charlton, so it's Rioch for me. What he did with 12 young, mainly local, lads, will never be seen again. Most of them ended up internationals.

Love this. Brings back so many good memories. He was a great keeper, and a Boro legend. Met him too, he's a really nice guy

Newcastle Home ideally.

Otherwise anyone at home, preferably a top 6 PL team and a decent payday.

Hamilton shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. Send him on loan to lower league to learn.

It was so blatant. The previous one, which the lino spotted, was difficult. This one was just obvious
