An excerpt from the zine: "The internet was either a great idea (if you're into military technology used for censorship and surveillance) or a terrible idea (from a human rights and dignity perspective). Anything that lets you share your ideas off the internet is worth doing. You don't need anyone's permission to self publish a zine. You'll create a direct, or indirect, record of your experience under fascism. To Zine is to wake up. Social media platforms are not permanent. They'll be gone in, max, 20 years. Even a piece of paper of the shittiest quality will last longer than social media. Putting together a Zine with whatever tools you have access to takes moxie, problem solving, and Innovative thinking. These are all skills the fascists do not want you to exercise. You'll feel resourceful and empowered. No one can censor you or stop you from saying what you want in your own self-published work. Practicing the necessary crafting techniques, like printing, engages the mind as well as the body. Collaborating with friends to share ideas builds a strong community bond.

I think, to open my heart to you, I wish to draw more this year. I want to draw my cat & myself & parts of my life. I wish sharing that freely online didn't open it to be exploited by the soulless.
I miss the joy that came with creation. I'd never trade the pain in my hands for the loss of art

i left the church and have nothing to do with it anymore but something happens when i see priests and pastors and rabbis and imams and sikhs at protests going so hard in mega harsh conditions i get choked up. this is how all of that is supposed to be. that's what all of that is supposed to be for.

This is so important. They were battering at doors in the hours after Renee Good was killed, in the same general part of the city. We can’t let our guard on our neighbors down.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

People already working hard to prove how perfect Alex Pretti was. To show he didn't "deserve" to be killed. But it's a trap folks. You're only feeding into a dynamic where people who are considered lesser get no protection. You don't have to be an Alex Pretti to deserve to live.

It's a life of walls, and the walls are lined with an invasion of privacy- they watch every move & monitor your actions- financially & literally- to make sure you are not skirting around policies or "faking" it. To hear Politicians in ANY country complain of the disabled- an insult on life itself.

A lot of people genuinely don't realise how little they give you to live on in some countries if you are disabled & cannot find/do "work". Any income- even temporary- may also remove you. Schooling may remove you despite not having work. It is a hole they dug for us. They want it to be a grave.

My arms & legs sit atrophied and I'm about to be removed from the medication that literally keeps me awake (narcolepsy essentially strips coherence from me for most of the day & night otherwise. I appear as a zombie if awake) and I just want to draw; I just want to sit and not be dreading for once

It has been 14 hrs since 5 children has been reported dead in besieged Kobani that is paralyzed due to the harsh winter climate. Kurdish Red Crescent is currently on standby waiting for a secured passage into the city and are raising funds to cover for critical medicine and aid against the cold.

It’s not enough to say Abolish ICE. It’s not enough to vote no on ICE funding. It’s not enough to confront Kristi Noem or Greg Bovino with Stern Words.
