Wrapped up with a dear friend drying dishes in the kitchen with me at midnight. One that knows where they go in my house bc she’s been here since I lived here. My heart needed that.

I got to host book club last night. A house full of loud and raucous women laughing, sharing books and tbr lists while sharing food filled my cup.

Today feels so very heavy. I saved making thank you calls for today so I could be reminded of the good people I know. Did it help? I only teared up once. But let’s see how the rest of the day goes.

We have branded pens at work that are outstanding. They shouldn’t be. They aren’t fancy. They are clearly mass produced or reproducing. I get joy in saying, no really, take a couple.

If you ever need to unlearn hard copies, my largest child needs to read you and has not converted to digital. If not, I’ll just start adding to the library again and build another actual shelf.

I should likely start finding my people here. Things to know. I am not mysterious. I am G. Despite everything, I like people. Especially if I can feed them. Books and music and wandering and being a homebody all at once.
