The Legacy of the Edmund Fitzgerald - 50 years later - GLOS
The tragedy of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald marks a turning point in Great Lakes weather and water observing and information.
50 years ago today, 29 lives were lost with the sinking of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald. Since the night of the wreck, great effort was made to increase the number of observing instruments around the Great Lakes to make sure no such disaster happens again. glos.org/the-legacy-o...
