One of the nice things about having a bigger house is having room for my aunt’s old console record player, which my sister and brother-in-law lovingly restored. I just installed a new stylus and it sounds great!

On Saturday, Austin and I checked out The Sound Garden in Fells Point and picked up some new-to-me vintage vinyl, including this ‘Best of The Youngblood’s’ album. I was especially surprised and saddened to read this morning that lead singer, Jesse Collin Young, passed away on Sunday.

‘Think Little’ by Wendell Berry (written in 1972 and still relevant today, on man’s impacts on the environment) and ‘The Serviceberry’ by Robin Wall Kimmerer — both are quite short (both effectively essays) but timely.

We are just returning from a long weekend in NYC. Sounds like the circus came to town…a parade of elephants and countless clowns. Not sorry that we missed it.
