Here in Washington state, 3,866,398 acres are on the line. This includes some of the most carbon-dense forest in the world, with immeasurable value for climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and human health and well-being.

The total amount of public land that Trump wants to make available for sale is equivalent to more than TWICE the size of CALIFORNIA.

All to pay for tax cuts to some of the richest people in world history.

While Mike Lee and Steve Daines' Senate Natural Resources Committee amendment to the budget reconciliation package mandates the sale of up to 3.3 million acres of public land, what most people miss is that it also authorizes the sale of 258 million acres. That's 40 percent of all public land:

UPDATE: It gets worse. The updated legislative language makes over 250 MILLION ACRES of public land available for sell-off.

We now know that the GOP's Big Ugly bill would allow for the sale of 250 MILLION acres of public land. 5.4 million in Washington state.

We can't let them jam this through in secret.
