When we forget the past, we are doomed to repeat it.
Please speed it up!
Most people don't know that SARS2 still circulates widely.
When people get sick, they don't test.
When they do test they use single ineffective RATs.
Then, if positive, they don't report.
5 people close to me have suffered through Covid in the last 3 months.

One more reason to #maskup and #WearARespirator .
Many people STILL don't know that baggy blue surgical masks are not manufactured to prevent AIRBORNE viruses.
Wear a tight fitting NIOSH APPROVED N95 when sharing air in public spaces.
I like 3MAura and Fangtian N040.
Find one that fits you well!
Have you signed?

What a set of titles. All published within the last two years. I really want to read these at some point. Can't believe we're starting year 6 of the covid pandemic.
25.01.2025 02:44 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1Yet another reminder that there is a science-based response to COVID that requires taking #longCOVID seriously, and recognizing aerosol transmission and mitigating it with ventilation, standards-compliant PPE (N95+) and vaccines...
...and there are quacks.

If governments and organisations attended to indoor air quality, weโd be less reliant on masks to prevent transmission of respiratory infections.

Don't let politicians and capitalists, who don't care about your health, but only about their own positions and profits, distort reality. Masks work. Protect yourself.

We just finished working with our preschool to have Corsi-Rosenthal boxes running in the classroom and indoor play space!
We keep each other safe.
This is very disappointing from Health Secretary @gwynnemp.bsky.social - anyone who heard the evidence of @barryjmjones.bsky.social and others at the covid inquiry would have no doubt that #covid is airborne.
17.01.2025 17:23 โ ๐ 18 ๐ 11 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 2Good article.... but!
The simple way we can all help is to wear a mask - preferably a well-fitting FFP2/3 respirator mask.
Masks work against ALL infectious respiratory diseases (like Flu, Covid), and they are variant-proof.
And open a window, until air-filtration is improved.

The JCVI have significantly reduced the number of people eligible for Covid vaccines.
But masks work - against all respiratory infections - and they are variant-proof.
COVID also can cause strokes & pulmonary embolisms. All of this will be increasing hospital stays and backlogs. You can greatly reduce this problem.

@uklabour.bsky.social @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social Hospitals are full of airborne infections of Flu & COVID. This is impacting not just those going for treatment but other patients who are catching them in the hospitals in addition to whatever their condition is. This is elongating patient stays๐งต
13.01.2025 10:39 โ ๐ 55 ๐ 12 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0#MaskAbuse Clinically Vulnerable Families (CV/CEV) UK ... I went to see my neurologist this week. I have primary progressive MS and severe COPD. In 2021, 2022 and 2023 he told me that I didn't need to mask. I didn't see him in 2024. This time as I walked in he asked if he needed to put his hands up and was this a hold up? FFS! I saw no-one else masking during the hour that I was in the hospital.
Would such discriminatory behaviour by a senior clinician be acceptable if it targeted any other group?
Clinical vulnerability needs to be added to the Equality Act.

๐จ The Covid Inquiry restarts next week.
It will be focused on a new topic of 'Vaccines and Therapeutics'.
This module is not getting the attention it deserves with only 3 wks and so MANY important witnesses.

The JCVI and Gov't are planning to reduce eligibility for #Covid vaccines even further.
#CovidVaccination reduces #LongCovid, yet for many people, it's more than 2 years since their last vaccination.

Amen. As an immunocompromised healthcare worker who still wears an N95 for the entire 12+ hours of my shift (as well as indoors everywhere else), and has a constant level of seething rage at healthcare workers who refuse to mask properly *even in areas itโs required*, I heartily co-sign this.

Read it all!
Blue Sky doesn't seem to have a Thread Reader Unroll function (yet), so make sure you read to the end, where Cat presents the rationale for vaccinating all Over 50 and all at Clinical Risk.
