Dentists want a free oral health plan for seniors as hospitalisations surge As data shows thousands of over-65s are winding up in hospital with oral health issues, the Australian Dental Association is calling for a scheme that gives seniors access to free dental work.

Excluding dental from Medicare is a 5-decade old mistake. It would cost $11bn/yr to give all Australians basic dental care - way less than the $45 bn we lose in productivity from emergency and untreated dental issues - and the $14.5bn/y our government spends on subsidising fossil fuel industries.
