The Kobo Clara BW e-reader

I'm putting my kindle fascist e-reader out to pasture and I plan to divest myself of amazon, downloading all or some of "my" books first if possible. And I need an alternative, with some reasonable way to buy ebooks for it. I'm keen on the Kobo Clara BW. Anyone have experience of this? Yes or no?
