The final piece was amazing and adore the design on the urn that feels like it contains the entire galaxy. It really complimented the story and elevated it to another level, so once again a huge thank you to @crowlls.bsky.social! will be back next week with more art from Jayces Fighting ships!

The Composition was locked down pretty early, but the key question was the design of the urn, what should that look like, ultimatly we settled on a simple oval shape with a single Delta on it

I worked with Palloma to identify some references for the peice, drawing inspiration from the cover from 'Articles of the Federation' (special shout out to the artist reference beaturing Frieza)

This pieces was to accompany the story 'Ritual' which was inspired by reading about the work done by the Mortuary at Dover afb and tells the story of the recovery of some remains several years after Wolf 359

Ignoring the fact that there’s no money, what else would you find at the Wolf 359 gift shop?

- tiny pieces of lost starship?
- holoprograms recreating the battle?
- plush animals in Starfleet uniforms?
- a board book starship alphabet?

This 4-nacelled Excelsior study model is usually stylized as an Excelsior derivative, but I decided to model it with more fidelity to the original model. It'll be a miniature for TrekCaptains.

which documented the events leading up to the battle, the battle itself and its aftermath in their book "We Have Engaged the Borg: The Oral History of the Battle of Wolf 359". It's an excellent read and highly recommended.

an updated look for T'lyn from Lower Decks

and finally a special bonus T'lyn from @foodcu-be.bsky.social, I love how they have updated the look of the crew and have continued to do illustrations of them, I hope to see many many more (maybe a comic one day) 7/7

The final updates done, just before the Book launches was to update the look to match how we see the cast at the end of Season 5 of Lower Decks (although we kept the fake grey in Boimlers hair (he thinks it makes him look more distinguished) 6/7

Inspiration for the relfection of the ship was very clearly a nod to TMP, and Lower Decks had already done this before 5/7

Once that was done, we moved onto the rest of the gang, It should be noted we were working on this pre-Lower Decks S4, so it was before the Beard and before T'lyn, but i absolutly adored how @foodcu-be.bsky.social updated the look for the lower deckers all grown up. 4/7

Initially we worked on the 'Carpet Angels' image (which came from a joke at STLV, you had to be there) @foodcu-be.bsky.social came to me with these initial sketches showing potential uniforms and composition, we both felt the S1 look was better 3/7

So the Idea of Brad Boimler being Hood's final captain came about quite early for me, but I did not want to draw too much attention to that in WHETB, but given the chance to tell lighter stories i thought this would be a good intro to the Book, and there was only 1 person to ask to illustrate it 2/7

Way back in 2015, the 1/537 Fleet upon the Driveway Cosmos.

I really love this cover design. It sets the tone for the whole book and makes it feel like something you really would pick up at the Wolf 359 gift shop.

Huge pleasure and honor to be featured in this!

Against the blue background are clean, white technical-style illustrations of multiple Starfleet starships, shown in side profile and arranged in rows. The ships vary in size and design, representing different classes from small science vessels to large cruisers.
